Currently, LightBurn provides hotkeys for rotating objects by 90°, 45°, and 15°.
However, in many cases, precise adjustments of 1° are needed, and entering the value manually each time slows down the workflow.
I would like to request the addition of a dedicated hotkey for 1° clockwise and counterclockwise rotation.
A fixed hotkey would be perfectly sufficient — customizable shortcuts are not necessary.
This feature would be very useful for fine alignment and precise design adjustments.
That is useful suggestion which I think can be overcome by using the “Free Rotation” utility.
To do this, enable “Rotate” in the utility bar below.
Select the desired object and hover the mouse pointer over the curved arrows.
When you hover over the curved arrows, the mouse pointer will change to a darker curved arrow. Click and hold the left mouse button and freely rotate the object.
Obviously, it doesn’t do “steps” one by one (hence why I consider your suggestion useful), but it can, in many cases, even be more useful than taking steps of 1º at a time. It depends on what exactly you want to do, but I don’t know that at the moment.
On my computer (Windows 11, LightBurn 2.0.02), when I use the HOTKEY for rotation, it rotates by 10° and 1.5° instead of the values shown in the documentation (15° and 5°).
Is there a setting where I can change or adjust these HOTKEY step values?
Some documentation is outdated and doesn’t keep up with software updates. Therefore, some information may be slightly out of date.
But the essential information remains.
