Feedthrough with Cut and Print

Hello All,
New Lightburn user, first post to the forum.
Version 2.0.1, Windows 11, OneFinity with JTech 34-W Laser and BuildBotics controller
My problem: I’ve got a file that I need to tile on the Y axis. I’ve watched the video on how this is done, but I can’t communicate with the CNC controller from my computer. Is there a way to tile without this ability? I can jog the laser to a specific point and set the coordinates in the controller.
Thanks, Mike

If the two cannot talk to eachother, then Lightburn cannot perform the setup for Cut&Print. When you flip the part, Lightburn needs to know where the markers are located.

I am sure you can do a manual process using the GCode output, but it will not be easy.

Why are they not talking? I found this where it mentions the BuildBotics:

Device Setup: In LightBurn, create a manual device using “Grbl M3” and connect via Serial/USB.

Mike, you’re right, I should have been more precise. The BB will connect to my computer by generating a web page that lets one load/delete files and see how one’s project is progressing. One can move the laser about, run/stop, etc. What I regret is that Lightburn can’t talk to the BB the way it was demonstrated in the video I watched. The LB method of correcting misalignment and performing re-dos would be quite valuable.
I’ll be upgrading to the RealTime controller soon, but OneFinity tells me that it has the same issue.
Luckily, I’ve got the Vectric laser module installed, which has a more straightforward tiling procedure, slightly fussier but doable.
Thanks for your response.
