Did some test runs on stainless only to find that the black marking cannot be viewed from straight up - it just disappears. I have to tilt the piece 30-40deg for black mark to show up, however looking at it by rotating the piece 90deg on plane it looks uniformly black (no matter the viewing angle). Here’s something i didn’t have to deal with on my co2 machine
The weirdness was engraved on M-Triangel PG OneS, 80% power, 10passes, 0.03 interval, rotating angle at 30deg per pass.
I had the same thing happen a few weeks back. I did an F1 racing car on natural slate that was painted silver. When the job was complete I couldn’t see the image but when tilted to the light from a window..there it was.
I thought it was a bad thing at first but then realised it was pretty cool.used in the right way.
