Fiber galvo laser with framing issue

Recently I had to replace my computer’s main drive because it was running out of space and instead of cloning the drive, I decided to do a clean Windows install on the new drive. Everything was perfect until I noticed Lightburn would not work properly with my fiber laser.

Even though LB says the laser is connected and ready, it will not frame at all. I reinstalled LB and made sure that on the last screen to select the option to install the EZCAD driver, but the framing option still would not work at all.

I checked the Device Manager and saw the driver USBLMCV4 was indeed installed. I uninstalled it and downloaded Ezcad2.14.10. In LB I edited the laser profile for my laser and imported a new EZCAD config file. I tried with markcfg0 and markcfg7, but none fixed the problem.

Any idea of what am I doing wrong or what I am missing?

Trying to follow you… you are aware that the EZCad driver will not work with Lightburn?

Did you export your configuration out of Lightburn before you re-installed?

Jack, thanks for your reply,

I did not export the laser profile from my old drive because I though that by installing the EZCAD driver from LB , it would work, same as before.

I will install the old drive and backup the profile, I will also check what driver I was using and if possible, copy the drivers as well

Lightburn won’t work with EZCad drivers, so this would break Lightburn from speaking to the laser.

You need to install the EZcad2 drivers included with lightburn. Then import the markcfg file when you add the laser. Here’s the documents for driver install.
