File upside down

Why is it that when I go from my CO2 to my fiber the image in Lightburn flips??

Maybe your lasers have different origin.

@parsec is likely correct about the origin… However you can’t set an origin on a fiber…

My fiber has a technical origin of bottom/left, my co2 has an origin of top/left.

Change you machine (device) to your fiber, then load your project.

It should correct for the difference in the machines origin…

es, that’s what I have been doing. I have my LB set with the CO2 as the default so when I start up LB tt opens with that controller. If I design something and in the co2 mode and then change the controller over to the galvo screen that’s when it does it. The only way I have been able to fix that is exactly what you said. I was hoping that the brains at LB would have a fix for that maybe down the road. Would just make life much more easier… :grinning:

Origin determines the machines working quadrant.

There is a mechanism for suggestions to the software… Might be a good place to put this… I don’t know about it being applicable or not…

Post it in feature suggestions (upper right in tool bar).

Good luck

As others have stated, this is working as designed. The file orientation is based upon the origin of your machine. BUT, there is something in LightBurn to help with this. What you need to do is select the machine that you will be using BEFORE you open the file. LightBurn will automatically correct the orientation when you open the file that way. If you have a file open, then select a different machine, it will flip the design around. That part is working as designed.
