Hey guys just hoping I can grab some advice on my atomstack. It seems to me to be a software issue?.
I am only using it to engrave bottles and haven’t had a drama until I changed the settings in lightburn… The setting I can’t get to work correct is “fill shapes individually”, but never have a drama with “fill shapes at once”, the only reason I have chosen fill shapes individually is because it is alot quicker. the preview looks absolutely fine (I can do same job with only changing that setting and have a different result), the “fill groups at once” engraves flawlessly. I have checked all belts, cleaned rails but it never happens with fill groups once setting.
Anyone experienced this or know what might be happening? I am on trial version.
I’m still able to use it on the fill groups once setting, I’m just trying to be able to use the fill shapes individually to save time. Thanks in advance.
This is probably because you shouldn’t use that mode with a rotary. (I guess you are using one?)
On a rotary, objects can slip and lose their correct position. Therefore, you need to reduce movement on the rotary axis as much as possible. Filling everything at once does exactly this, it only rotates the object once. If you fill individually, the object will roll back and forth for every shape, which will always lead to some lost steps. You can try to increase weight (fill it with water or sand) or use a chuck, that one doesn’t have slip.
