I’m using LB 1.7.08 and when I set the engraving layer (fill) the image is still as if it was set to line
How so? Are you saying that when you click preview that it’s still showing as a line?
If what you mean is that in the editing area it’s still showing as lines, that’s intended - That’s how LightBurn is meant to be used. Showing filled rendering in the editing area is intended for client proofs and temporary spot checking, not permanent use.
You can enable it by going to the Window menu and clicking “Toggle Filled Rendering”, but if you plan to leave that on forever and forget it’s there, I’d recommend against that. It makes selection, node editing, and working with Booleans more difficult, plus it’s about 1/2 as fast as ‘wire outline’ mode.
