Fill / Line or Multi issues.!

Hi Guys, I have for some time had issues with fill and line were as once engraved the line is offset from the engraving, it looks like a shadow. also bi-directional fill is an awful mess.

Im not sure that a little play in the linear bearing is to blame or ive always had slight play, I just wondered if there were a setting im missing to align fill and line to correspond ??

appreciate any advise that you guys may have.

There’s nothing like this. Operations on aligned objects in LightBurn are inherently aligned.

It’s hard to say without looking at what you’re dealing with but a few things to look out for:

  1. There is a known issue with many Ruida setups where engravings can come out skewed and won’t align to the line. Sometimes symptoms manifest differently where the engraving isn’t necessary slanted but just misaligned. Check if this is affecting you:

  2. As speculated, backlash in your linear bearing could be at play. I’d suggest testing for that separately. Try running a circle. Do the ends of the circle meet?
  3. You may have a delay in your mechanism which is causing the issue with bidirectional fill. If you can’t identify or eliminate the backlash in your system then you may be able to address with offset scanning offset in Device Settings.

Thank you for your reply, Im going to order a new bearing to eliminate the small backlash I can feel, Im sure the circles are good, I just wondered if id missed a setting in LightBurn that was an easy fix. I will report on the fix once Ive found it. it use to line up perfect.
