I have some anodized alum business cards that I am trying to figure out the setting for. The issue I have is most of the patterns do not engrave evenly. They start well on the outer edges and do almost nothing in the middle. I have tried fill shaps at once, fill shapes individually, and even offset fill. The fill shapes individually had the best results so far, but at a much slower speed. The manufacture suggests 5000 mm/min @12% power. That it what I am running for the fonts, and that seem to be good. Its the fill I am having issues with. Why am I having these unengraved sections in the middle.
I will attach a picture of a test card and my machine settings.
Your max travel speed and acceleration seems quite excessive.

This isn’t the S6. It’s the Atezr L2 36W, right? The Ikier version of this machine doesn’t properly report max speed or accel to Lightburn. The LB machine settings pull only from $110/$111 and $120/$121 which are the settings for the extremely aggressive “fast” mode. “Standard” mode works pretty good and those settings are $140-$145. “Fine” mode is too conservative and stored at $150-$155. Changing modes doesn’t change the values at the target parameter lines, so it doesn’t update in LB. This throws off time estimates and other things, I’m sure.
$33 is the mode switch
Fast mode: $33=0
Standard mode: $33=1
Fine mode: $33=2
The touchscreen also has a page for switching this. I leave mine in standard. It works pretty good. I recommend setting it to “standard” and leaving it there. Manually edit the preview (device settings>additional) speed/accel values to match $140-$145 and time estimates should be pretty close.

Yes, it is the Atezr L2 36W.
Thank you. I will give this a try.
donniem70, how did this work out for you? I’m trying to tune a new Ikier 22watt unit and am having some difficulty with inconsistent fill as well and want to know what you have found. I also seem to get a fair bit of “wavy line” going on even at 15-20 mm/sec speeds (and on a solid platform etc… all the standard things checked). Yes it gets worse if the laser head is down lower, so I’m thinking its the Z carriage, but curious if anyone else has found this to be an issue. Thanks.
