I have a 100watt mopa Galvo and its not filling all shapes individually on some designs I noticed this when I traced an image in lightburn and set it to fill individually It still would fill the entire thing at once, I have already tried ungrouping the shapes and still no luck. On version 1.4.03 running on a M1 Max
Can you upload the .lbrn file for your design or post a full screenshot of LightBurn with your design loaded?
I added the image thats not working as well in the file its set to all shapes at once but im sure I had it set at individually I checked at least ten times

I can recreate your results.
What I think is happening is that since all the shapes are fully enclosed into the outer shape that it doesn’t treat those shapes individually. As soon as you separate the components then the behavior is what you’d expect.
I don’t know if this is necessarily expected behavior.
Let’s ask @Rick to confirm.
There is only one object there…
If you make two more objects, it works correctly.
Im pretty much looking to make it fill each shape within the object by itself if I set it to flood fill it does it but of course leaves nasty lines and stuff so it doesn’t want that.
Are you saying because its enclosed it only counts as one shape?
I don’t know the algorithm, but I added two filled boxes and it worked properly…
How would it know what an object is?
In that case I’d suggest putting each discrete enclosing shape onto a separate layer. That should allow you to get the behavior that you want.
That would work for that design but something like the really detailed calander I wanna do id be screwed lol thanks for the reply
Got ya I understand that its shapes not each thing within the shape now
You’d need to only do the frame in one layer and everything else in another.
A. true expert you are Thanks for the fast replies and the help without being a jerk im really thankful for people like you because I would have overthought it as I did during my frustrations. one day I will be knowledgeable enough to pass on the help to someone else.
