Filling shapes and lines per in/mm

Hello, I’m still learning on LightBurn, and this may be something that is specific to my laser. I have the aufero laser 1 with the ortur LU2-4-SF. It seems to engrave well, but I’m still getting some lines in the engravings. Maybe this is normal, but I see other that look very clear without the lines. I will attach the file I’ve used and attach photos that you can see the lines. Or maybe I’m just being too picky… I don’t know Ive tried the different fill settings as in fill and line/ offset fill, but it didn’t give what i was looking for…

A few things I would recommend you try:

  1. Try running the Tools->Interval Test to see if you find the optimal interval for your laser. It seems you may be getting some artifacts from your current interval setting
  2. Experiment with different scan angles and cross-hatch. This will give you a different look that you might like.
  3. Try defocusing at different increments above the focus distance. This will give you a slightly duller cutting beam that smooth out the burn. Again, this will be an aesthetic choice.
