How do I go about setting internal shapes to not fill / cut. I have attached an example on a piece of text I am trying to fill without filling the internal parts. I only want it to shade around them.
My problem is that it gives me a filled in block of text like so in the preview.
If i understood you correctly. you want the text to be filled, but NOT where the green shapes are
To do this 1st you need to convert text to a path (right click “convert to path”)
Then you need to group the green shapes (per letter)
Select the letter -> hold shift -> Select green shape group inside the letter.
And perform a bolean operation.
This should extract from the letter the internal green shapes.
