This is not really a LightBurn problem, I think. Is there someway to see a list of all the com ports and what device/drive they are connected to. I used to have Com3 and Com4 showing in the device manager. Com3 went away awhile ago. LightBurn has been using Com4 but it stopped working. Now Com4 is not showing up in the Device Manger unless I go to View-Show Hidden Devices, but it is grayed out and says it is no longer connected to the computer. I thought maybe if I can see what they connected to I could free one up so I can start use my laser again.
I also read about programs that can make Virtual Com Ports but have no idea which ones are good and which ones are a waste of money.
in device manager you can see what com ports are assigned. When you plug in your usb cable it should assign a com port for it - if not you prolly need to install a driver for the laser.
