Here is a Lake map which I purchased the vector file for and enlarged by request. This is 23x31 inches in size. (laser bed is 24x40)
Thats a very nice and seemingly not uncomplicated piece of work.
May I ask why you had so much blue either side of the lake…and how did you get it off.
Are the different blues representative of various depths,…ah I thought it was resin at first (phone screen) but is it actually layering mixed with routing.
The blue is all lake. Lake Diefenbaker is a man made lake with a dam on one end that is really large. The differant blue’s are supposed to represent depth. But with only 4 layers and 200 ft of water, it’s kinda pointless It’s still damp from the clear coat finish I used.
I cut everything out and paint the layers then glue the layers together. I then run it through the tablesaw to make a nice clean edge. Sand top, clear coat top, black the bottom since it’s mdf and then black the wood edge. Once that’s all done, I’ll resand the top and give it a final clear coat.
Nice job. I like the choice of font and the finish looks good.
