Fire button unresponsive

Hi all, so my “Fire” button is completely unresponsive. It doesn’t depress or turn red when clicked and I can’t select the power setting to the left of the fire button either. Laser works fine when engraving and laser fires when I enter the $ commands to do so but shuts off when I’m trying to get it on origin. So having the fire button back would be nice.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Welcome, Nathan. The following is worth review.

Yes all of that is enabled. My fire button is there as well as the power settings. When I say the I mean in the windows to the right of the work area. They are dead, absolutely nothing happens when I click fire or click the down or up arrow on the power selection. The fire button doesn’t turn red, it doesn’t depress like it’s being clicked, nothing. I can fire it using $ commands that’s it. Engraved jobs fine. Worked for months then all of sudden nothing.

Which OS (include version number) and version of LightBurn are you using? Have you recently updated the OS? How about your lasers firmware?

Maybe you could try loading a prefs file backup from when it worked.

Windows 11
Version: 10.0.22631 build 22631

LightBurn 1.6.03

That didn’t work either, went back to last week, week before that, week before that and so on until May. Still nothing. Worked fine the other day

Is your Fire button overlapped by the Laser window below it?

I am interested in understanding “all of a sudden” more.

When working last, was that also the 1.6.03 version of LightBurn?

All of a sudden meant one day it was working, the next day it wasn’t. No updates or anything I was aware of. The buttons there were dead. It’s working now though. I just turned the fire laser option off then closed LightBurn and opened it back up again and turned it back on. I tried that a few times before and no luck, but worked this time.
