Firmware Atomstack X70 MAX

Hello,

Is there anyone here who can provide me with the firmware for the Atomstack X70 MAX?

The device was accidentally installed with the wrong firmware and is now unusable.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Considering the firmware is rarely included as a file with the machine, your best bet is to contact Atomstack or browse their website.

Thank you for your reply. I have already done so, but have not yet received a response.

Ask for support from where you bought

I have the firmware for the A70 Max. You cannot load the same firmware on the machine. So what you will need to do is load the firmware for the A70 Pro first. Then load the firmware for the A70 Max.

Both files have the same name ChituLaser_Boost(2).bin.

Unzip the files. Then change the filename to ChituLaser_Boost.bin

Put the file you want on a USB drive in the base directory and plug it in.

The firmware should automatically start upgrading

Do the A70 Pro file first, then do the A70 Max file next

I’ll post a link on where to get the files in a minute

Thanks for the files

Glad i could help.

The other two files there are to update the firmware on the Touch Screen if ever needed.

I just had a problem with the touch screen on my A70. Touch screen wasn’t working properly. Seemed to have a mind of its own. Touching the screen sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t. Seemed to change settings by itself. Found if i took the screen out of the case it worked fine. The fix was to loosen the circuit board mounting screws slightly so they weren’t pressing the touch screen up against the case. Just an FYI in case you come across this issue.

And thanks again for this informations. I’ll keep it in my head

Here’s one more document you might be interested in. How to set up Macros in Lightburn to use Autofocus with the Atomstack A70 Pro and the A70 Max.

Couple of things to note.

When you home the machine the A70 Pro will home the X Y and Z axis.

When you home the machine the A70 Max will only home the X and Y axis. (At Least Mine Does)

When you use Autofocus with the Button on the Control Board it will only correctly focus to the Engrave setting on the Fixed Focus Block.

My instructions will allow you to set up 3 Macros to allow you to focus for either Engrave, Cutting <20mm or cutting >20mm.

When running the autofocus macros (or Using the Auto Focus Button on the Console) you will need to adjust the starting position of the laser head so it is no more than 40mm above the work piece or you will get an error.

This is a word documents so download the file and then remove the .txt from the end of the file name.

How to Use Autofocus in Atomstack A70 Pro and A70 Max.docx.txt (145.1 KB)

Thank you…. Very interesting to save yourself a little work.

I find it just as easy to manually focus but it’s nice to be able to do it with the macros if i wanted to. Just another tool to add to my toolbox. The saying goes;

“If the only tool you have is a hammer”

“You see every problem as a nail”

I have tried it. After changeing some of the cables, which have been also devective, I have done as described. But It doesen’t work. The working area was programmed 400x400mm. My workspace was 800x800.

And when I tried to make a test subject, the laser made all the necessary movements, but the laser himself didn’t burn anything :frowning:.

The support of Atomstack told me that the motherboard is defective because of the wrong firmware.

They also asked me, if I would like to buy the motherboard. I told them, that I would do and pleased them to send it to me. But nothing happened since one week. No response or other informations from Atomstack support.

It is not the first time that it needed more than a month with a lot of emails to solve a problem.

Seems ATOMSTACK loves to sell there goods but not to support them.

I’ve had pretty good luck with atomstack support. It does take while to get things resolved because of the time change in china and all the back and forth but I was able to get my issues resolved eventually.

Lucky man
