I have followed the installation procedures for the firmware tool but when i click anything with the mouse nothing happens. I am running a windows 10 platform, have tried different USB ports. nothing seems to work. i have added limiting switches to my RAY5 10W laser but now can’t get the firmware onto it.
Lightburn sees it, sees the port as well. But the updater doesn’t respond to anything. I have an empty micro SD card in the slot of the laser controller.
When I downloaded from GitHub the only version available is V2.1.5. I put a blank micro SD card in the laser, turn on the laser and start the MKS Laser Tool. It comes up, but react to any of the mouse clicks. I removed that version through uninstall and I went to the site provided by this video and downloaded and loaded the older version V1.1.2. Loaded it, but still comes up with the new version.
BTW, that’s the video I was using the entire time. I think the biggest mistake was the newer version. And now it seems to revert to it even after uninstall.
That’s the link I used after I had loaded the Longer link.
I probably need to clean some registers and other left over parts of the original download in order for the older version to take.
Okay, I finally got it to work! Luckily I had a restore point on a date prior to loading the v2 update. So I restored to the older date. The older version loaded however in order to open it without an error message, I had to open it as an administrator. After that everything ran as the video showed.
Thanks for your assistance, it is greatly appreciated!!
