Hello, I’m trying to follow the first project in the lightburn tutorial but for some reason I’m getting lines outside of the shape i want. Here’s the image of the path I’m getting with the preview.
It is supposed to be like this
What am I doing wrong? Any help please? Even when i try with a simple shape
The red lines are traversal moves. They do not represent the burn area. The traversal moves go beyond the area of the engraving because you likely have overscan set. This is represented as a percentage value in your cut settings. It’s distance as a percentage of speed. It’s meant to reduce burning at the edges of the engraving. It can also turn be turned off.
If I read you right I assume you are running at 6000mm/min or 100mm/s. I would not think overscan would be that radical.
Are the speeds set the same for both of these…?
If that’s computed overscan maybe it’s in mm/s instead of mm/m.?
