Focus test and negative Z-coordinates

Good morning

As I have a FluidNC machine with a small laser attached I want to try the “focus test” feature.
So I enabled the Z-axis in the machine settings…

Do I need to set anything else specifically when my machine goes from Z0 to negative direction?

And where do I set the size of the focus test?
Or how do I find out in which area it does the test?

Okay…seems I have to enable the “Inverse direction” that it goes from 0 to negative…

Focus test works…but the generated Gcode is very inefficient (o;

Between every line and character Z goes back to its original position and then down again instead of just do one z-offset at a time…
