The preview and engraving of text is not correct only when connected to my Sculpfun S30 Pro Max 20W. When I am not connected to the laser, the text appears normally.
I use:
Windows 10
-Lightburn 1.3.01
I have already tried:
But I want to make sure I understand the point that you’re making. You’re saying only if the laser is plugged in you get this issue in Preview? So as soon as you unplug the laser the Preview appears normal? Is this 100% repeatable?
Since it’s already broken in the preview screen, this should have nothing to do with the laser / firmware etc. So, it’s at LightBurn stage.
Can you give a screenshot including all your settings?
And also the LightBurn settings, there are options for antialiasing, rendering etc.
Additional explanation to your request:
Only if I start Lightburn with the laser on it gives this bad preview.
If I start Lightburn with the laser out, the preview is normal. However, the engraving remains poor as in the bad preview.
I can reproduce this every time, starting Lightburn with the laser on.

Thanks in advance for your help
Please find the requested information here.
I’ve already tried changing the antialiasing setting but it makes no difference.
Thanks in advance for your help
This is what I had assumed was going on but then the greater mystery is why the Preview is showing the “incorrect” view without the kerf reflected if started with the laser connected…
I had considered this possibility as well. Where it breaks down is that when actually sent to the laser, the kerf is reflected in the burn. I would expect it to be all on or all off.
It could be the combination of this behavior plus a bug of some sort…
The problem is solved !!!
I changed the “kerf offset” and did several engraving tests. These are all ok now.
After shutting down and restarting, the settings remain correct.
Thanks to all of you!
