Hello All,
I would like to know how does lightburn pull in fonts to the drop down menu. Must the font be system installed? What type of file is preferred? Is there a limit to the number of fonts?

With the exception of SHX fonts, yes, they must be system installed and any font available to the system should be available to LightBurn.
TrueType and OpenType fonts are standard and well supported. Additionally, you can choose the inclusion of SHX fonts, the location of which is specified in Edit->Settings->Editor Settings->“Set SHX Font Path”
There’s no practical limit that I’ve seen although a long list becomes cumbersome to navigate and I’ve seen evidence of an enormous list causing slowdown in certain situations.
