Fonts on computer won’t show in lightburn

Hi. I have added the Raleway font to my Mac Book Pro. There are 9 styles of this font on my computer however only one style is showing in lightburn.
I have consulted Apple and they confirm the font, all 9 styles, are active on my computer.
Any ideas as how to get all 9 of these options to show up in lightburn?
I have re-started my computer and lightburn with no luck.

Is this the Raleway font as available from Google and licensed under SIL Open Font License?

If so, here’s what the README shows for that font:

This download contains Raleway as both variable fonts and static fonts.

Raleway is a variable font with this axis:
wght

This means all the styles are contained in these files:
Raleway-VariableFont_wght.ttf
Raleway-Italic-VariableFont_wght.ttf

If your app fully supports variable fonts, you can now pick intermediate styles
that aren’t available as static fonts. Not all apps support variable fonts, and
in those cases you can use the static font files for Raleway:
static/Raleway-Thin.ttf
static/Raleway-ExtraLight.ttf
static/Raleway-Light.ttf
static/Raleway-Regular.ttf
static/Raleway-Medium.ttf

Perhaps try installing the static version of the font to see if it becomes available.

[EDIT] Note that I installed and tested the variable font on Windows and it seemed to work. There are other cases of fonts behaving differently in Mac, however, so not definitive. I’ll attempt this on a Mac when I get a chance.

I’ve now tested this on Mac.

Neither the variable nor static fonts work as expected.

However, if there’s only one variant of the font that you want you can install just the static version of that single variant and it will be the single typeface available with the “Raleway” name.

If I recall correctly from previous discussions this is a limitation or bug in the framework that LightBurn uses and has no immediately available fix. It could also be from a change in how MacOS has behaved historically. I tested this on Monterey.

Ok, thank you… I appreciate your help with this! I will try to install one of the other styles alone via the static file and see if that one will show up.

Note that you may need to uninstall the variable font for this to work. Good luck.

I uninstalled them all and re-installed just one of the different ones, and it worked… so yay! It will be a bit of a pain if I want to use one of the other ones, but awesome that I can access them all one by one if needed. Thanks again for your help!
