Your lettering is always nice and dark.

It’s only down to the advice on here.
The folk on this forum are life savers.
As you know I have to keep a rather detailed journal so when i find something that works i write it down then add it to my LB library for next time.
Plus I do a scale test on every piece of new material.

This is the real advice for those new to laser engraving, and no one really talks about it enough.

I’ll be away for Christmas, so merry Christmas to you!

Have a good time away pal. Have a good one.

That looks great! Any chance I could bum the file for my kids? If not no biggie. Thanks for the idea.

I designed this as a one off for my Grandson, the layout I pretty much copied from other designs.

I just google things like carrot, snowflake, snowman etc, put the words “clipart” after the search. ie (carrot clipart)
Click an image and right click then select “copy.”
Go to lightburn and right click and select “paste.”
Click the image and right click, select “trace image”
Scale them down and move outside work area.
Do this for all the elements in the design.

Although a bit of a pain, it becomes your own work and there is no better feeling than knowing no one will have one exactly like it.

I understand. It still looks great. Hopefully whatever I come up with is as good.

If i can do this, i promise yours will be far better.

Edit.
I will tweak the file later and add it to the files library, but it can only be for personal use as i cannot guarantee the images are free.

Great looking project!!
Do you do any prep to the bamboo board before the burn?
The reason I ask is I did a burn on a bamboo cutting board and because it is made from strips of wood that had different density and shades some sections burn darker then others do.

Thanks!
What finish did you use on it? was it a spray or brush on finish?

Glen
