Fox Alien Mastur Pro not recognizing Home as origin

My machine was working great for the past 6 months. Something happened and one of my settings was messed up by my wife. My machine goes home every time I start up the Lightburn program. Then when I hit get position it says the position is X axis -377, Y axis is -354.02. Then when I hit go to origin my machine goes all the way to the other X axis and a little up the Y axis. I hit show positionWhen I hit the travel to a location the switch limits are maxed out then. I will also include pictures of my settings.

Edit > Device settings and set your laser as a CNC machine
Also check your laser $100 and $101 values

I gave that a try and it still isn’t working. I wish I could post a video on here on what it’s doing. What settings do my $100 and $101 need to be. I have them set to what is recommended.

Type $101=80 press Enter.
After draw and Laser a square 100 x 100 and check dimensions.

Also your laser GRBL settings have $30=10000 and S-Value Max set to 1000.
In Lightburn Console window type $30=1000 and press enter.

I made those changes but the machine still doesn’t recognize the right coordinates. Still getting an Alarm 3 code.

Something happened when my wife hit the swap XY output to laser button. It’s unchecked now but it’s still not right.

After starting the laser I ran a $# and got this response.

Sorry, missed this setting.
Ser your laser as a CNC Machine please.

After run a $# again and post here the output.

Yup had it clicked on when I ran the $#. I think someone recommended turning that on earlier.

When I click that setting off and run the $# the code is still the same when I run $$

Set your laser as a CNC Machine click OK.
In Console window type $RST=# then press enter.
.
Close and restart Lightburn, run $# and post here the output.
Check if everything works OK.

I ran those settings but the machine still travels like the coordinates are reversed. I wish I could upload a video on here and show you what’s going on.

One at a time input these commands in Lightburn Console window pressing enter after each:
$RST=* ( then with mouse-cursor select all the output inside console window and copy/paste here in a post)

$13=1
$21=1
$25=500
$27=3000
$30=10000
$32=1
$110=3000
$111=3000
$120=400
$121=400
$130=380
$131=780

And check if your limit switches are ok.
To make it easier switching to Router mode set S-value max to 10000.

A bit of info on GRBL commands:
https://github-wiki-see.page/m/gnea/grbl/wiki/Grbl-v1.1-Configuration
.

Ran those different codes and did what you asked. After homing it still wants to jog to opposite coordinates. The writing is now in red instead of black.

One questions:
Your FoxAlien Masuter Pro homes front-left?
If so disable the following options in Lightburn:

.

  1. Turn on your Masuter Pro and jog your laser head by hand to the middle of the workbed, with arrows in Lightburn Move window check for correct laser head movements right arrow moves to right left arrow moves to left and so on
  2. Click the house in the middle of the arrows to run a home cycle.
  3. In Lightburn Console window type:
  • $I
  • $$
  • ?
  • press enter after each command, select with the mouse cursor all the Console window output then copy/paste here in a reply.
    .
    Keep the following file:
original Masuter PRO-4080.txt (1.1 KB) GRBL settings with 4080 extension.

Since I did those, I restarted Lightburn without a homing. Tried to move the laser and got this.

Check if your laser Z switches are working ok.
Maybe one is stuck…
Also disable your Z axis options and retest.

Checked z switches and they’re good.

Should uninstall lightburn and reinstall?
