Framing command sends laser head to Y hard limit

I’m using Lightburn V2.0.02 and have recently had an new intermittent problem with my Sculpfun SF-A9. My work is placed at the centre bottom of the workspace and I switch on the SF-A9 then it homes to the X0 and Y0. The origin of the work is the bottom left corner and I execute a Frame command, but instead of framing the work, the laser head shoots off to the top and triggers the Y hard limit. I’ve tried rebooting but the same thing happens. Has anyone any idea as to what might be the problem? Thanks.

There is likely a drawing object off in lala land (outside the workspace). Turn on Cut Selected Graphics in the Laser window. Then it will Frame only what is selected.

Zoom until the grid fills the work area. Then, with nothing selected, do a CTRL-Shift-A and see if the grid changes. It will quickly show if there is an outlier. It could be a tiny thing not normally noticed.

The more you use the SF-A9, the more you will love it. Trust me on that.

Hi Mikey, I figured that there might be a litle dot hiding somewhere way up north, tried deleting everything but it still happened. Then looked at the “Start from” in the Laser Control Panel and that was the problem! I had it in “User Origin”, which was causing the problem. Another lesson learned
