When I try to frame my work, the laser head always goes to the far top right section of the machine, It then puts up an error message and beeps at me. I’m using a Longer Ray5 10W engraver.
The error message reads ALARM:3
Reset while in motion. Grbl cannot guarantee position. Lost steps are likely. Re-homing is highly recommended.
I’m totally new to this and have no idea what this means. Please help!
It sounds like you may be selecting the incorrect 'Start From’ position, or your machine may not be homed. If your machine does not have homing switches (also called limit switches) you will need to home it manually if you want to use Absolute Coords or User Origin modes.
