the framing does not work correctly when 2 or more operations are present and only 1 operation is enabled, i wish i had known the simple framing tool did not work before i purchased the software
Framing does not work like it does on Layers in Lightburn. Not sure if I am explaning it properly, but it appears Framing encompases the entire project.
Surely this will not stop you from using MillMage?
well i have 2 tools and need to frame for each tool, each tool has its own operation, so it will not stop me from using MM because i have already wasted my money on the purchase, but i will consider switching over to another software before i spend more money on MM, I wish now i had not purchased MM, and will not recommend it to other users. but thanks for your feed back
The software is brand new, and we’re still settling some things.
One of our staff hit this a couple weeks ago and brought it up as a possible safety issue - he framed with a single op enabled, but then with the remaining ops enabled the project went out of bounds.
Personally, I like being able to frame individual operations - If I have a project that’s going to be double-sided and puts the front/back parts on the same page, I don’t want it framing everything I have turned off.
There’s a reason it’s done the way it is, but there are valid arguments for having it work both ways, so we might make that an option.
You also haven’t specified whether you wanted it to frame everything or just the selected operation.
Calling the entire program a waste of money over a single difference of opinion seems overly harsh. Is that the only thing that’s caused you an issue so far?
its not a difference of opinion its a difference of operation and it doesnt work for me if i cant frame for only the operations i have enabled, some time’s i put comments on the page not included in any operation and it frames the comments, comments like part # , thanks for your feed back
I’ll pus for making this a project option, or possibly even a separate button, which I think would be more intuitive, maybe even a column in the operation list where you can choose what to frame.
A lot of the way we work is based on feedback from users, so I appreciate you giving it.
I been using Lightburn for about 4 years but I am brand new to Millmage, if it’s treated like you did with lightburn I’m sure any shortcomings will be addressed pretty quick
ya Marca, i have been using Lightburn for several years now and decided to go with MM because of my positive experience with Lightburn.
