Hello, I’m having trouble getting Lightburn to recognize my Galvo laser on my PC(Dell Windows 11). Oddly, it works fine when connected to my Macbook computer. On my own PC, I can see ‘USBLMCV4,’ but it’s hidden, and the USB status shows as offline. Initially, I heard the connection sound when plugging in the USB, but after a few tries, it stopped making that sound. In Lightburn, I keep getting ‘Disconnected’ messages.
the software does not detect the laser on its own, I have to import the .cgf file and it import successfully. though the connection does not show a USB port as com3 o 5, It rather shows as port# 3. When looking at my device manager. the driver does not reflect under my USB’
When I configured on my Macbook, I had to change the fiber type to raycus otherwise it would not get recognized.
The .cfg file import shows laser type
Laser Type: Fiber
Fiber Source Type: IPG_YLP
Field Size: 150 mm
I tried replicating the same setup on my windows without success
I was able to resolve this issue by replacint the ezcad driver using Zadig. As described in
Lightburn Immediately connected to laser.
