Galvo Framing problems

Good Morning. I have installed Lightburn Galvo on my Mac and have gone through the import of the Mark 7 files. AT this time I can not seem to get the frame functions to work. I do have a red dot but when I frame the laser fires a quick burst and I do not see the frame action. I know it is firing. I have placed a bamboo cutting board on the laser bed and see the smoke from the burst. I have read through the forum and have not found any solution that seems to work. The source is a JPT LP 50 with a ezcad board. I do not have a windows computer to install ezcad on to test the machine that way. Any I help will be appreciated.

In your Device Settings try setting your ‘Start Marking’ IO port to ‘None’. If that doesn’t help, please share a screenshot of your entire Device Settings window.

I changed it any no differance.

Maybe I am missing a step. Do I need to turn off the laser then back on after makings changes.

I see you have your ‘Start Marking’ port set to ‘15’ in the above screenshot- did that change not persist when you adjusted it, or did you change it back to ‘15’ because setting it to ‘None’ didn’t solve the issue you’re having? If it didn’t persist, make sure you are clicking ‘Ok’ after making the change, and not 'X’ing out of the Device Settings window or clicking ‘Cancel’.

changed it back.

When you click the Framing button and the laser fires, is it pulsing in one location, or marking the graphic you have in your workspace in LightBurn? Is it pulsing once or continuously? What status do you see in the ‘Laser’ window?

one location

I am trying to contact the manufacture. I am not sure the galvo head mirrors are moving

I think that’s a good idea. If you’re able to access a Windows machine and install EZCad on it, I’d be curious to know if you get the same result. This is not behavior I’ve ever seen before, so I’m thinking it is most likely hardware related.

After help from the manufacture customer support the issue was found. a ribbon cable had become dislodged part way during the shipping process. All is well now
