Galvo Laser inconstant power at the start

I am getting inconsistent power at the start, I set 95% power but It looks like it’s getting 20-30% only in the beginning. is there any option that I can turn it off? Thanks for your help.

I had a somewhat similar issue on a very different (CO2) machine, I think my laser source was taking a moment to ‘warm up’. Adding a “Start Delay” via my Device Settings (edit menu) fixed it for me.

Thanks for the replay, I only see Delay Defaults only instead of “Start Delay” in the settings Thanks for your help.

I deleted the previous post by accident I am very new here.

Does it happen if you move the image to a different location?
Like away from the weak area up ?

Those settings you posted wouldn’t cause the weak burn, but the fact they are all 100 suggests your laser hasn’t been timed. Look up Alex’s video on timings on laser everything watch it through a couple times, follow instructions, get that laser running lean and mean.

This one?

Yes, that one!
Original problem, did you try different locations in the work area?

Yes, it’s at the center. Thanks for the link I played with the numbers but no luck. I am going to try a different software like ezcad to see if the problem persists.

If it’s only in one spot, maybe the lens is dirty. Pretty sure it’s not LB related. The timing wouldn’t affect it, those are for quality.
Other possibilities are the table and the galvo head are not parallel so you are moving out of focus, some oil or other clear coating on the material. But if it is specific to one spot on the test piece or work area, it’s hardware not software. (99% of the time)

The focal range is unforgiving on galvos. If it’s in the middle and nowhere else I’d be looking at focus.

I would test small adjustments to see if the dead spot grows or shrinks. If you’re willing, test to see if you can make it shrink the middle spot to nothing without pulling a new dead-ring around the outer edge of your workspace.
