LightBurn would be an incredibly complete tool if it included a dedicated section for programming and controlling custom external axes in Galvo mode. This would allow us to integrate X and Y axes with a external movable base, effectively expanding the working area directly from the design interface. Additionally, having a external Z-axis control would enable true variable-depth 3D engraving without needing to rely on EZCAD3 or switch to a specialized controller board.
(functioning as a 3 axes programmable stepper motor driver and controller)
LightBurn could offer control over five axes: two (X and Y) dedicated to object engraving, and three additional axes (X, Y, and Z) to manage the movement of the worktable. Just imagine the power and creative freedom that would give to every user!

A customizable external trigger output port would also be highly valuable, allowing the execution of external tasks—such as activating triggers on layer changes, power level adjustments, object processing, and more.
