Getting a darker engraving

If I engrave a picture on wood with my Atomstack 5A Pro+, and it is too light, what is the “rule of thumb”? Do I add another pass? Do I increase the power? Or do I slow down the speed? Is there something that I should do FIRST to try to rectify the problem?
Thanks for your help,
Willie

I don’t think there is a rule for what to do next. It is completely up to you. I think it would depend on the settings used to do the burn. If you are using low power, maybe try to increase it a bit. If your speed is fast, maybe slow it down a bit. If you think the settings you are using now are optimal, then try to do a second pass.

It is more a personal preference.
