Trying to get my new camera all setup and running into a grey screen capture during alignment phase. I saw another was getting a black screen so I tried adjusting the light all around the machine with no luck. 
The camera seems to be picking up the birch board fine in the live feed but not during capture.
More overhead light on the work area I think.
I tried a handheld LED light in about every conceivable position. It would change from white to grey. I’m going to start over with my bed covered with a birch board and try again. May move the camera a bit too but it captures my entire bed now and is almost perpendicular to the bed.
