I have bought a metal cutting fibre laser, but it doesn’t use LB, is there an easy way to get it added?
The software that comes with the machine is basic at best.
If its a Pro version of Lightburn it can be added if your machine is compatible with lightburn. Just go to Devices and create Manually.
In general: no. You can use LB only with supported lasers. If yours is not, the manufacturer needs to work together with the LB team to get his protocols / drivers integrated. This is not a thing that is easily done.
Maybe show your laser type and the mainboard here. If it’s already supported, you might just need to select the correct type. If not, chances are low that it can be done instantly (if there is enough interest and cooperation with the manufacturer, it can be done, of course).

if it is a gantry machine usually works with G-codes, give us more details about the control installed on the machine
