It’s taken me a while to get my laser to start engraving, and I have got there with everyone’s help on here, but there is still a problem with my light burn or laser.
When I go to fill, instead of it filling the whole area, it fills it with lines, how do I sort this out please
What is your line interval set to? Every fill operation is done by lines, very closely spaced lines. You can increase the distance between those lines to.
The preview option will show an approximation of that effect, and it will change as you zoom in closer.
How does the engrave look?

Looks like an extremely wide line interval.
There is no “correct” line interval. I have used extremely wide intervals when that’s the look I wanted, but typically the interval is set to create a solid tone. A diode laser such as yours will usually fall somewhere between .06 - .12mm interval.
