Getting rid of frame when tracing photos

I was looking for an answer to how to get rid of the border frame when tracing an imported photograph. Didn’t have much luck, but I did run into a solution. I imported the photo into Adobe background removal free service and it quickly removed the background. Now when I import the image it only shows the object I want to see.

I am very new to Lightburn and lasers. So I was happy to find a go around that I couldn’t find in lightburn. I’m sure I’ll figure this out with time. Looking to start on an enclosure with exhaust before I get too far into it so I don’t choke myself out with the smoke.

Looking forward to the learning curve.

Go to feature suggestions and find this and uptick it.

Personal favorite.

I typically trace the image and then ungroup the vector objects. Then I remove the unwanted objects (like the border) and group the remaining objects. Note that this works only for vector drawings- either traced from an imported bitmap or an imported vector.

Thanks I will try that method.
