Hi there. I just bought my machine. The Xtool d1 comes with a great program to cut. But I work in illustrator and i would be a lot easier to import pdf and ai directly into the program.
My problem is that i know nothing about lightburn, but have really tried to get it to work.
I work on mac, so I downloaded the file and im able to import the file. But the laser keeps saying “disconnected” - and not “ready”. I have a directly connection with usb, and I have choosen “co.usbserial-144240” and choosen “xtool D1”.
I have bought the program, so it is not a licence-thing…? I have all updates “1.3.00”
Can anyone help me getting connected - please;)
Hi Nikolaj- just to make sure, when you say you downloaded the file and are able to import the file, do you mean you downloaded and imported the configuration file provided by xTool in these instructions?
If not, you’ll need to do so now.
If you have already, make sure xTool’s Creative Space app is not still open and holding onto a connection- LightBurn will not be able to connect if it is. Then, you may need to close LightBurn, turn your laser off and on again, restart LightBurn, and then manually select the correct COM port.
You’ll see a response in your ‘Console’ window when you’ve selected the correct port.
If you still aren’t able to connect, try a different USB cord, and if you are using any unpowered USB extenders or hubs, try taking them out of line and connecting directly. A powered USB hub, on the other hand, can often help.
Please share a screenshot of your ‘Device Settings’ window in LightBurn if you still can’t connect.
