Made this for my son’s girlfriend. Its mostly woodwork but the laser just makes it 100% better.

No, I think it got so black because the burn was deep. It was really dry maple. Poly might have made it look darker when I put that on.

Most always the settings are a variable as a result of different machines have different specifications from one another. That is why even with identical machines it is best to do a test burn to “dial” in your settings.
A good research tool as a starting point is clicking on a members icon to see what machine they have
