Golf Club Engraving

Hey

I’ve got question with regards to filling the image after tracing. I want to fill the entire image to fill and have only outlines in white. I have managed to do it with 2 steps but then the image has different depths after engraving. any advice would be much appreciated.

It’s much easier to advise with a pic of the image you’re working with. Post a screenshot of your entire lightburn screen showiny your image, the cuts/layers panel and the laser panel. Or post your lbrn2 file with the image in it.

so I need the image to be filled like this but under 1 layer for the engraving

If you fill that image you will get a completely filled image with no difference in the sections. I would think you are better to not output layer 18 at all. That will give a nice engraving of layer 17 only, similar to this.

Otherwise, engrave layer 17 at a different setting to give definition to the engraving.

with golf customization we paint fill the whole image, so we want to want the whole image engraved and only the outlines not engraved because the paint will run into the other colors. that is why we don’t really want different depths on the image.

first image is what I am referring to.

Ok, now that I see what you’re trying to achieve…

You don’t have the correct tracing of your image to get that result. You will have to be very selective with offset to get lanes that have dimension that you can not engrave. I don’t have any better advice than that for you.

On a side note, be very careful with these images. Disney will sue their own mother for trademark infringement.

ok thank you very much I really appreciate your time. I’m only using these images for trial and error from what I’m seeing online, just trying to replicate while I practice.

Being sued by Disney isn’t the worst that could happen. They could force you to watch the latest Snow White three times in a row - trust me, that’s much, much worse. I downloaded to watch with my granddaughter and it is extremely bad even by my standards (Space Milkshake, Bubba the Redneck Werewolf and Santa’s Slay rank as some of my favorite movies).
