Good Laser Mask For Wood

What is a good laser mask to use on wood? The ones that I have tried so far still have burn or char marking on the top of the wood. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the help! I just ordered it and ready to give it a try. I am tired of sanding!

You might also try to add an air assist to your engraving using that

Will do! I will try that and see what happens.

@hawth725 is more than correct.

You need to have some air assist running anytime the laser is firing. For no other reason than lens protection.

The difference in the finished material is well worth the investment.

…I noticed the description states:
“NOT FOR USE WITH HEAT TRANSFER VINYL OR ANY LASER CUTTERS, ENGRAVERS or LASER DEVICES”…
Is there another alternative that is ‘laser friendly’?

I’ve had great luck with blue painters tape for back filling stuff. Here are a couple.
