I’m trying to burn a gradient I created in InkScape by shading a fill, but when I export it as .SVG and open it in LB, I find that the gradient has disappeared and only the outer stroke is displayed. Can someone help me?
Gradients in vector graphics don’t carry over from Inkscape to LightBurn.
If you want to retain the gradient you have a few options:
- convert the gradient to a dithered vector interpretation in Inkscape before transferring to LightBurn
- convert to a dithered raster image
- convert to a grayscale raster image
“Thank you very much. Now it’s up to me to research how to do any of those methods. I’ll get to it, but if you could give me some guidance on the topic, I would appreciate it.”
The first 2 options may not be that straightforward.
Take a look at this to attempt the third:

I see Edit > Make a Bitmap Copy in Inkscape, it seems to work.
