I’ve been on the lookout for a means of using a 4th Axis on my CNC with Lightburn. I finally located and experimented with GRBL Mega 5X on Github. An imaginative programmer has adapted GRBL to run 3 linear axes (XYZ) and 3 Rotary axes (ABC) from an Arduino Mega 2560 controller board. Perfect! I am running it on a bare Mega board and on a Mega with Ramps 1.4 shield with no problems. The GRBL Version is 1.1l so Laser mode is an option in GRBL settings. Otherwise it loads on the Mega 2560 board with the Arduino IDE application as usual.
