I have an Ortur LMS2 10W and have a request to engrave a logo on the metal on the attached gun picture. I haven’t done this before so am looking for suggestions on prep and setting please.

Kind of doubtful that 10-watts will do much for engraving on that.
Would suggest you swap the laser for a spring loaded diamond drag bit.

That looks like a basic Henry .22. If I’m not mistaken, the receiver cover is painted. It lifts off the top after removing the 4 screws. I don’t know if it is laserable without melting/flaming. I agree with Corpse in that you might be underpowered either way.
