Hi There, been spending the last day trying to get my new Gweike Cloud Pro 2 to work with light burn 1.3.01, I am new to light burn ill admit, but something just doesn’t seem right with the set up.
1: I can find the device via USB using light burn and I can select the controller board, is recognizes the board, bed size and I can set the home position. YES
2: I can move the laser head with light burn X,Y ,Z using the arrow buttons, and I can even HOME the laser head back to its position and frame works as well.
3: But when I try to send either a cut file, or engrave file to the machine I get a message that pops up saying " there is a problem sending data to the laser and machine may be busy or paused"
Like I said Im new to light burn and this machine Hoping someone here that has had this issue can help me get past this last step, Thanks!
If possible, move to an Ethernet connection… it will save you lots of headaches.
The Ruida isn’t real great with communications … I had so much trouble I just wired it directly into the pc. The Ruida is a static device so you have to set your Ethernet port up to get a direct connection to work…
It should work over you lan or a wireless bridge… I ran that way until the Lightburn Bridge made it’s appearance… I had a PI laying around, so loaded Lightburn Bridge image on an sd and it connected right up…
Good luck
Thank You, I might give that ago, why not tried everything else.
