Hello I have a Gweike cloud pro CO2 laser. and I’ve been using Lightburn software. Im having a problem were i hit start or I sent file to the laser from Lightburn. the Button on the Gweike Turns solid red. Im able to frame and move the head around just fine on light burn and all the switches are in the right spot along with safely switch are engaged and seem to be working. I’ve downloaded older versions of light burn along with the new updated one and have tried them all. Ive had this laser for about a month now and everything has worked fine until this last week it keeps turning the button red and i’m unable to cut or engrave anything. I’m Just at a total loss at this point. I’m hoping someone has some answers. Thankyou!
Im Also Connected by USB to the Laser from a MacBook
Hi Brandon, make sure the tray is pushed in all the way in the machine as it needs to push the safety switch at the back corner otherwise you will get the red ring , this is easily overlooked when you first start using the gweike cloud pro, I hope this helps. Also you can push the switch back and lock it in by sliding the clip across to hold it, which you need to do if using the rotary.
that’s been done and I’m still getting the red light unfortunately
Have you turned on crosshatch recently? If so, try disabling it and see if the light issue resolves.
I have no and I double checked and that’s turned off
Dang I was hoping that was it.
Your brand is known for the turn key/emergency stop going bad…it may be that the switch lock is not sending the “i am closed” signal to allow operation.
You verified that BOTH lid switches are clicking and being engaged ? Mine sometimes sits oddly and will only click the right one, and red light me out of work. I have to sometimes set a can of paint on the left side to close the lid the 1/16th rest of the way or whatever to click it down…just trying to think of anything that may help.
When this was happening to me it was because I hit the emergency button, I had to turn the red button on the front of the machine (near the bit you pull out to change the bed) to disable the emergency mode (restarting the machine alone didn’t fix it).
I mean it’s a brand new machine but you never know. due you know of a way to test it or even bypass it to if that’s even an option ?
brand new!? WARRANTY! If it is new that would be a great option for you. If not, unfortunately I do not know of a way to test the switch, as that’s a bit outside my realm sorry!
