Gweike cloud pro laser with lightburn. Frame doesnt work

Hello,

I have Gweike cloud pro laser using lightburn via USB. I did the setup and set my x and y axis along with the position of the head(Back Right). I’m running into an issue when I create an image and do the frame. The laser moves along the top and goes back. It seems like its not recognizing where its at. I did use the cloud software and its works but I rather use light burn. Any help would be awesome as I have yet to use the laser fully.

Does your machine home to the rear/right?

The origin setting in the Device Settings needs to be the same as the machine homes.

There are two other areas that can cause issues… The start from and job origin, these are explained in the Coordinates and Origin documentation of Lightburn …

I don’t know how to set the user origin on your machine. On my Ruida, I have to press the origin button on the machine console. I think yours is lacking a console …

I got the Gweike Cloud last week and it was a few days of frustration but I almost have it set up correctly. It still is doing something strange with the camera, but I think framing works. That is where it shows you the location of your object, right? If you want me to try something on mine, let me know. I am a tech guy, but knew nothing about lasers so still figuring things out. When did you get your cloud? The newest model does not do well with settings people uploaded from older models. Note: Newest model does not have the external air filter. I loaded a material file that someone online had created. The laser head made a lot of noise and slammed into the side! I would not trust anyone’s material files at this point.

It should not crash into the side of the machine… So something isn’t right.

What are your settings that I mentioned in the previous post?

Aside from not seeing the pointer, it seems to be fine. The noisy/crashing issue comes from loading a Library I got on the internet. When I assign a setting from this library to a cut, that is where this happens. I don’t know what machine the library was created for or if it ever worked. The person that posted it said it was for the Gweike Cloud. As I understand it, there are limiters that should keep it from physically crashing (It is possible that it is crashing against a limiter and stopping). I Did it twice. Its not worth risking damage by pursuing as I can create my own library. But thanks!

It’s difficult to help you when you refuse to answer the simple questions. I’ve asked you three time about your settings for start from and job origin but no answer.

I don’t know what library you are referring, but there isn’t anything in the cut library that would/could cause it to hit the frame. It should be just speeds/feeds/dpi…etc…

There are not limit switches on most Ruida based machines… It can accommodate limit switches, but the Ruida uses the home switches to find the 0, 0 location… after that it never looks at them again.

The controller should know how far it can go in any direction.

Are you sure both are in the same units?

Sorry, I did not make it clear. Simple solution, I made my own library and it never happened again.
