I am running into an issue where my Gweike Cloud Pro 50W CO2 laser will cut for a few minutes and suddenly pause in the middle of a cut. This happens with simple design geometry generated inside of Lightburn and externally designed files. I have ensured there are no issues with the vectors themselves and I have checked that the USB cable and power settings are optimized as recommended in a similar post.
I am able to resume cutting by selecting the pause button in Lightburn. If I immediately restart the cut after it pauses, the laser will start up for only a few seconds before pausing again. If I wait for around 30sec-1min after it pauses, the laser will usually cut for another few minutes before pausing again.
Could this be related to an overheating issue? I am running at 85-90% power to cut through 3 and 5mm acrylic sheets. This machine comes with integrated liquid cooling. The coolant tank is full from what I can tell is circulating as it should during operation.
I have reached out to gweike tech support but they are taking their time responding. Any help or insight into what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated.
I have Gweike Cloud G2 Pro 30W Laser that I just got after Christmas and it is doing the same thing. Yesterday I had all the parameters dialed in and could engrave 3 lines of text on my part. Today the laser shuts off after 2 letters using all the same parameters. Any ideas? This is really annoying!!! We are in a controlled temperature and humidity office. I was not running the laser more than a hour today so it should be over heating.
