Gweike g2 max 50w ( Fiber Laser) material library for Lightburn?

Hi all, anyone having material library for gweike g2 max 50w fiber laser ? OR … at least similar 50w fiber laser? Very much appreciated

I don’t have any specific library for that machine that I can find here on the forum, but this is what is listed on the manual from Gweike on page 19:

Hi Colin. Thx a lot. I’m receiving the laser shortly so I’ll test all settings manually. I was just wondering if there would be kind of 1 click solution, it would be great
Very much looking forward to test different colors despite this is not mopa laser.
Take care
Jaroslav

Because of the sheer volume of lasers that LightBurn supports, it’s simply not possible for us to create material libraries for every single device. We instead offer support to users and vendors to create their own material libraries. Material Test - LightBurn Documentation

I’m attaching my Material Library for the Gweike G2 30W
Gweike-G2Pro-30W-150mm.clb (6.1 KB)
There aren’t many, and I have a weaker laser than you. But it could be a good starting point.

The link Colin posted is a good reference, and be prepared to do some Material Tests.
→ Save your parameters to your own Material Library from the start. This will save you time in the future.

That’s certainly possible to some extent.
I found that the Speed and Interval settings produced the best color differences on stainless steel:

You can import my Material Test Preset here:

G2-Stainless-Interval-colors.lbmt (1.2 KB)

Be aware that this is a delicate process! (The colors are a result of nanometer-scale variations in the oxide layer thickness, which filter some light wavelengths. :exploding_head:)

A consistent focus height is crucial for reproducible results.

I really have to click around in Lightburn more. I had no idea there were built-in presets!

Can even save your own

Hi Aaron & thx a lot for your input and testing file. I’ll definitely try it myself on 50w and share back my results.
I am so much looking as well to test deep engraving to brass, steel…stone
