Hacker space member needs to copy Lightburn settings

Hi I have just joined the Ballarat Hackerspace and they use Lightburn software. I will definatly take advantage of your discount licencing for hacker space users. The hacker space has only one computer that runs Lightburn software and that PC also runs the 3D printers.

I would like to be able to take a copy of the current machine settings for the hackerspace laser and put them on my PC. I run Windows and the hackerspace also runs a Windows PC.

Is there a simple way to copy an ini file etc to move the table size and machine settings from one PC to another?

On the source machine:

  • File > Open prefs folder.
  • Close LightBurn
  • Copy the prefs.ini file somewhere

On the target machine:

  • File > Open prefs folder
  • Close LightBurn
  • Copy the backed-up prefs.ini file over the existing one

It’s important on the target machine to close the software before you copy over the prefs, as they are written on shutdown (window placement, etc)
