New AtomStack A40 Pro V2 user here—having a weird issue. The move buttons in LightBurn don’t send the laser in the direction of the arrows. No matter how I orient myself, it’s inconsistent and doesn’t make sense. Also, when I home to the front-left corner, the coordinates go negative as i use the move tab to move it along the x,y axis. It’s like it believes that 0,0 is the back right but since it’s in the front left it can’t move and crashes into the wall. When i align it to the back right. Coordinates are still not accurate. Every time I try to home or start a job, I get ‘ALARM:1 Hard limit triggered.’ Everything’s stock—new machine. Anyone else run into this? Ideas? Thanks!
You wont be able to get much help unless you send some details, screen shots of Device setup amd File machine and settings screen
It can’t find home. i currently have tried all different positions front, left. front, right. etc. Turning off the lazer placing in that spot then restarting it. No clue what to do. What other images would be needed? thanks!
I got it to cut with selecting current position but these are the coordinates it thinks it’s cutting at. <Idle|MPos:-422.837,-432.950,0.000|FS:0,0|Pn:Z|Ov:100,100,100|APP:33|USB:0>

If the machine Homes properly, this is not a problem. You just need to set up the coordinate system properly.
This is a problem. The GRBL parameters need to be changed.
- Enter $$ in the Console window and copy all the $nn parameters. Put that in a text file and save it in a safe place.
- Open the Machine Settings window with the laser connected.
- Scroll down to ">Output Settings. Click on the “>”.
- You will then have access to setting the direction control parameters
- Do not go crazy changing things. Make sure you understand what you are changing and why.
If this does not get you working, come back here and let us know. Someone will help you through it.
Looking at your current settings.
This is what size your machine thinks it is.
$130=400.000 - This is the X Axis Size
$131=392.000 - This is the Y Axis Size
Atomstack web site says your machine working area size is 400 x 400mm.
But in fact it is set up as shown above 400 x 392
But in your device setup you have it set to 395 x 395.
I don’t know if that is causing your issues but the first thing i would do is correct that in lightburn
In lightburn device settings setup you should have this
Width = 400
Height = 392
After correcting this see if your machine homes correctly on the front left then we will go from there
For additional trouble shooting take a look at the following. As a reference i looked at the settings for my Atomstack A70 pro under Homing and Limits. I figured some settings except size should be similar. Look at the settings from my machine for Setting $20, $21, and $22. Your setting $21 =0 which im assuming is False. My setting $21 is 1 which is true. Which means your hard Limits are turned off.
Here’s all the settings from my A70 Pro Machine with descriptions.
You can take a look at these to see where the differences are on your machine if needed
Dont try and change anything on your machine just compare and see what you come up with then get back to us with what you find
